Handle the eggs gently with clean, dry hands. In a dark room, hold the egg with the pointed end down and shine the light at the wider end. Observe the interior for signs of development.
Fertile Eggs:
You should see a network of
blood vessels and possibly a dark spot indicating the developing
embryo.
Infertile Eggs:
The egg will appear clear,
showing only the yolk shadow.
Non-viable Eggs:
A visible blood ring or
absence of development suggests the embryo has stopped
developing.
